Altrusa Club Spring Garden Festival
Mrs. Norman Gill is standing and looking out of a window from inside her home at Spring Hill Farm near Cambridge, viewing the surrounding countryside and the Koshkonong river. The Altrusa Club sold (on commission) plants and gardening supplies that were provided by six Madison and Cambridge merchants at the Gill's 80-acre property. Profits from the sale were used for scholarship and hospital funds and plantings for area nursing homes. |
