International Harvester began selling threshers under the Belle City name in 1909. The side of this thresher reads: "BELLE CITY MANUFACTURING CO. RACINE WIS.". The top left of the machine reads: "BELLE CITY". To the right on the back of the machine is a list of patent dates reading: "PATENTED DEC. 27(?), 1892 MAR. 2(?), 1893 JAN. 29(?), 1901 DEC. 22, 1902(?) FEB. 9(?), 1904 and the number "4420". |
