The inside of a document for child employment. The document reads: "EMPLOYMENT OF CHILD AFFIDAVIT UNDER ACT OF 1893 FORM NO. 117 Protection Legal Bank Co., 413 Inner Ocean Bldg. State of Illinois,}ss. 1218 County of Cook} Bertha Pappenfus(?) of No. 3785 Winehester St. or Ave., in the City of Chicago in said County, being duly sworn, doth depose and say that she is the Mother of Bernard Pappenfus(?) a child over fourteen years of age, and under the age of sixteen years, and that said child is of the age of 15 y. 6 month years and upward, hearing been born on the 25th day of April A.D. 1885 at Germany in the the State of Germany and now resides at 3705 S. Winchester(?) Ave and that this affidavit is made so that said child may be lawfully employed by_ in _ as _ under the provisions of Section 4 of the act of regulate the manufacture of clothing, wearing apparel and other articles in the State, *** In force, July 1, 1893.
