An accompanying note addressed to the International Harvester Company reads: "Gentlemen: Your letter of May 21st in regard to tractor development is noted. On looking through our index of engines it is found that the first tractor was sold in December 1894. It is likely that the catalog was printed in 1895 instead of 1893 or 1894 as mentioned in a former letter. We also find that the dates of Mr. Hansen's connection with this company were from 1893 to 1910. Yours truly, Charter Gas Engine Company (Signed) W.A. Robinson Superintendent." |
