These papers document over a century of family activity between 1877 and 2001 (bulk 1880-1950), principally the family’s successful farm and forest management in Sawyer County in Northern Wisconsin, student life at Northland College, nursing, and public health education in the United States. Primarily documented are Soren J. Uhrenholdt, an immigrant farmer; his daughter Johanna Johnson, an educator and nurse; and his son Andrew Uhrenholdt, a student and soldier during World War I.
