Spring Blossoms
Alice Hotz Apfelbach, right, and her younger sister Margaret Hotz pose in front of a picket fence along a dirt lane which is now Highway 42. Behind the fence is a wood frame farmhouse with fruit trees blooming in the yard. The house, part of a farmstead originally owned by Levi Vorous, was given to Alice and her husband George as a wedding present in 1923. The house has been moved and the Fish Creek Condominiums stand on the property. The tall tree to the left of the utility pole was an elm which served as a landmark for many years. |
