Map or Atlas
Map of Southern Wisconsin

A hand-colored map that shows the area south and east of the Wisconsin and Fox Rivers, as well as a few landmarks just north of that area. The township grid in the southeastern portion of the state is shown and named towns, forts, cities, lead and copper mines, prairies, rivers and lakes, canals, and railroads are identified. The Dells of the Wisconsin and the "Great Marsh" (Horicon Marsh) are shown, as are the reservations of the Oneida, Stockbridge, and Brothertown Indians. |
