This map of the area between Monterey, Tennessee, and Corinth, Mississippi, shows Union lines of entrenchment in blue and Confederate lines around Corinth in red. Also depicted are houses, names of residents, fences, roads, railroads, vegetation, fields, drainage, and relief by hachures. Wisconsin troops taking part in the Siege of Corinth in May 1862 included the 8th Wisconsin Infantry, 14th Wisconsin Infantry, 16th Wisconsin Infantry, 17th Wisconsin Infantry, 18th Wisconsin Infantry, 5th Wisconsin Light Artillery, and 10th Wisconsin Light Artillery.
DESCRIPTION
This map of the area between Monterey, Tennessee, and Corinth, Mississippi, shows Union lines of entrenchment in blue and Confederate lines around Corinth in red. Also depicted are houses, names of residents, fences, roads, railroads, vegetation, fields, drainage, and relief by hachures.
