Map or Atlas
Sketch of the Public Surveys in Wisconsin
A survey map that shows the status of township surveys in Wisconsin. At that point, the majority of the state had been surveyed and platted, with the area in north-central Wisconsin between the mouth of the Montreal River and Brule Lake the only area remaining to be surveyed. The Wisconsin reservations of the Oneida, Menominee, Stockbridge, and Brothertown Indians are shown. The approximate scale of the map is 1:1,140,480 (18 miles to an inch) |
