Charlotte Thompson, a well-known suffragist, wrote this as a vehicle for Russell when she was still centered in Chicago. The production traveled from Chicago to Pittsburgh, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, and is mentioned prominently in Russell's autobiography. However, no record of a New York production has been found. The play was made into a silent film in 1920 directed by David Kirkland and starring Constance Talmadge. |
