William de Mille (1878-1955) was the eldest brother of Cecil and father of Agnes. His first hit with Belasco was "The Warrens of Virginia" (1907), famous for being the Broadway premiere of Mary Pickford. "The Woman" opened at the Republic Theatre in September of 1911 and ran for a healthy 247 performances. |
