Color lithograph. Across the top banner in caps is "Klaw and Erlanger's stupendous production," underneath is "Gen'l Lew Wallace's Ben Hur." This is followed by "Dramatized by Wm. Young." The image shows Messala and Ben Hur holding whips and staring threateningly at one another. The bottom caption reads: "The Quarrel. Ben-Hur Act V." All told, the production had twenty-two speaking principals and over a hundred supers. |
