Map or Atlas
Forgotten Trail
This map depicts the route of the 1842 overland trip by wagon made by the Reverend Alfred Brunson and some copper miners from Prairie du Chien to the mouth of the Bad River on Lake Superior. At the time, there were no roads north of Prairie du Chien and the customary route north was by water, a long and hazardous journey. |
