Mt. Horeb Opera House Block

The buildings pictured made up what was called the Opera House Block, located at the intersection of Main and South Second Streets. The businesses housed there at the time included: Gustave M. Helland, pharmacist; Dr. Carl Scholts, dentist; Gilbert and Jackson, attorneys; J. Theodore Dahl, Clothier; and Holstein Brager, jeweler. The buildings on the extreme right are the Mt. Horeb Bank and John Pieh's Meat Market. Partially visible at the extreme left is Guier's Hardware store. |
