ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The following text is included with the original photograph: "Our experience with Internationals has been very satisfactory and we have just bought another, They are cheaper to operate than competitive equipment with which we have had experience. This truck is NOT in operation only 42 hours per week." "Fuel consumption is 135 to 150 gallons for 950 miles round trip to San Francisco with load of 32,000 lbs. of general freight - 12-1/2 hours elapsed time - 11 hours driving time - 60 mph maximum speed in overdrive - 42 mph average speed - governor usually set for 1700 rpm - take the worse grade (Grapevine and Chico Pass) at about 12 mph - would take around 185 gallons of gasoline to do the same work - 80% of the driving done at night." "Our maintenance experience with these trucks is that we count on grinding the valves and installing new bearings at 75,000 miles, replacing rings and valves at 120,000 miles, and at 200,000 miles installing sleeves, pistons, rings, valves and camshaft."
