Bomb Simulation at East Washington Avenue Bridge
The East Washington Avenue bridge was chosen as the point where a simulated atom bomb struck Madison during a civil defense test, unbeknownst to four canoeists tending their boat at the shore by the East Washington Avenue bridge. Shown left to right are the "victims," Sharon Syse, Jane Nedderman, and Robert and Gerry Rogers. |
