Statue of General Hugh Mercer

Bronze statue of Hugh Mercer (1726-1777), Physician and Brigadier General of the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. Mercer died of wound he received during the Battle of Princeton and later was remembered as a revolutionary hero. Erected in 1906, the statue by Edward Valentine can be seen amidst a residential area. |
