Gonstead Residence

East end of the living room of the C.S. Gonstead home in Mt. Horeb. Madison architect Herb Fritz designed the house, which was built in 1951 and severely damaged by fire in 1991. The accompanying newspaper article describes some of the architectural highlights and the decorative features added by the Gonsteads, especially their Chinese and Japanese furnishings and ornaments. |
