Head and shoulders oval studio portrait of Thompson Thomas, a corporal in Company H, 15th Wisconsin Infantry. The following information was obtained from the Regimental Description Rolls, Volume 20: He resided in Utica, Wisconsin. On October 28, 1861, he enlisted and was mustered into service on February 13, 1862 in Madison Wisconsin at the age of 18. He was severely wounded during the battle at Stone River, Tennessee and was sent to a hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. On June 9, 1863, he was discharged for disability from wounds received from at Stone River, Tennessee. |
