Prof. Raymond Dvorak
Professor Raymond Dvorak stands beside a grandfather clock in the hallway of his home at 2001 Jefferson Street, decorated with oriental rugs. Mr. Dvorak, director of the U.W. bands who successfully resumed his job after losing his right arm and suffering leg injuries in a train accident, was named head of the Handicapped Day committee. The clock was given to him by the LaCrosse Civic band. He had often guest-conducted the band whose director, Frank Italiano, was an alumnus of the university. |
