Postcard
Tall-tale Postcard: Joy Ride
Photographic postcard of a man and a woman pushing their automobile through the mud because the wheels are caught in large ruts. Their feet have sunk to their calves in the ruts. In front of them a man with a switch is urging on two horses to help pull the automobile. On the right side, a horse-drawn cart can be seen going the opposite way. A dog stands on the right in the mud and watches. Text in red above says, "Scene on the Road Near Hurricane, Wis." In the lower left corner, handwritten, is "Joy Ride." |
