All-University Boxing Match
Dick Trainor of Madison (left) lands a left punch on his opponent, Everett (Butch) Chambers of Tomah, during the all-university boxing finals at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Field House. Trainor was crowned the 165-pound champion and winner of the "Fightinest Fighter" award. He left after his final bout to visit his father who collapsed of a heart attack during the second round and died later in a Madison hospital. |
