| The photograph was taken for "Production; A Pictorial Report," an article appearing in the February-March 1959 issue of Harvester World Magazine. The original caption reads: "Combines in East Moline. Traditionally the early months of the year are busy ones for the farm implement plants. They were even busier this year: the seven factories in the Farm Implement Division added 1,300 employees in about three weeks, boosted schedules to meet seasonal demands, turned out (among other machines) trainloads of combines - some of them with air-conditioned cabs (See cut.)." |
