Incomplete note on back "raid. All of houses of ill fame are blocks (nearest camera)." Some of the words were cut off when the photograph was trimmed. There was a sweeping raid on many Hurley area establishments on August 4th, 1942. The arrest warrants were for gambling and prostitution. |
