Addressing Mifflin Street Crowd
A man is speaking through a megaphone to a large crowd from the steps of the Mifflin Street Co-op, 32 North Bassett Street. Possibly Attorney Melvin Greenberg, introducing Madison Mayor William Dyke. The Mayor agreed to meet with University of Wisconsin students after several days of rioting followed by police breaking up an unsanctioned student block party. A Coca-Cola sign on the front of the building still advertises its former identity as a White Front grocery store. |
