Tintype portrait (slightly tinted) of Isaac Wagner Acker (left) and an unidentified individual. Acker was born in 1837 in Whetstone, Crawford County, Ohio. He later settled in Stockbridge, Wisconsin and served in the 21st Wisconsin during the Civil War. At the time of his enlistment Acker gave his occupation as a mason, and the tools with which he and the other man are posed represent the construction trade.
