The original typewritten caption reads: "Model S International motor truck owned by D.L. Ramsey & Son, Auburn, New York, dealers in seed. The motor truck is shown in front of the Ramsey store loading feed. The truck is used chiefly to haul seeds, stock, poultry feeds, etc. This concern formerly owned a Model H International which covered more than 100,000 miles and which is still in use in Auburn by another firm. The Model S travels forty to forty-five miles a day and repair costs thus far are very moderate. The service and inspection is considered very good by this firm. Chas. J. Brown, driver, told how he negotiated the Cayuga Hill, the worst hill around Auburn, several times this winter. Four or more of these trips were made during heavy snows and very unfavorable weather conditions. He said it makes good time on the road. He also told how he changes motor oil every 500 miles and that he had never found it necessary to add oil between changes." |
