The original typewritten caption reads: "International Model 33 motor truck owned by the National Casket Company, Philadelphia, Pa. This company also owns one Model H International purchased September 16, 1919; one Model 41 purchased October 14, 1921; and one Model 31 International purchased December 27, 1922. The motor trucks average about 1,000 miles a month and operate this distance on 125 gallons of gasoline. The motor trucks are used chiefly to haul burial casket and largely for short haul city deliveries. Since the loads are bulky rather than weighty, there is never any overloading. The company is well satisfied with International service. A local garage man does some of their repair work. The costs for this repair work are very moderate. Mr. E.J. O'Brien is in charge of shipping and transportation for this company." |
