ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The original typewritten caption reads: "Two Model 103 International motor trucks owned by E.J. Graff, Manyunk, Pa. Mr. Graff also owns one Model 63 International motor truck and is engaged in the business of contract hauling. His motor trucks are used chiefly for hauling flat paper cartons in bundles. He makes a few long trips from Philadelphia to Boston, New York, etc. Mr. Graff is now engaged chiefly in hauling paper cartons for the Philadelphia Paper Manufacturing Company, the name of which is painted on the side of the motor truck, as shown in the illustration. One Model 103 has been in service for a year, while the other 103 and the 63 have been in service about six months. Each truck averages about sixty miles a day. The 103's are usually overloaded one ton. Mr. Graff considers International service very good. He stated that no repairs of any consequence have thus far been necessary. The motor trucks are utilized every working day. Mr. Graff recounted how in a trip from Dowington to Coatsville, with a big load, he had to make a seven-mile detour on a road of new stone covered with soft dirt. He had to pull out of the road to let a woman pass who had lost control of her car. As a result, the back end of his truck ran into a ditch with the body leaning against a tree. Nevertheless, the motor truck was able to pull out on its own power. Mr. Graff said he doubts whether any other truck could have made it without help."
