Winter scene with William Irvine (1851-1927) seated in his sleigh next to his daughter Ruth (1891-1987) wearing a hat and wrapped in furs, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Mr. Irvine is holding the reins of two horses wearing bells and hitched to the sleigh. The sleigh stands under a portico attached to Mr. Irvine's house. There is snow on the ground, and on the left a woman can be seen in a first floor window holding the shade. |
