Sidney Shaw managed the store from approximately 1948-71, but he reported to Lane Bryant executives in New York. His wife Sara Bernstein Shaw joined him as a department manager in the early 1950's. Newman's was a subsidiary of the Lane Bryant Company. This information comes from the Shaw's daughter Linda Lange in 2012. |
