Americanization Pageant

A crowd gathers on the Capitol lawn to watch the Americanization Pageant, "A Thoroughfare for Freedom," as it is portrayed on the balcony of the East wing. The ceremony, sponsored by the Madison Woman's Club in cooperation with other civic organization, was in observance of the anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution. |
