Iver O. Myhre
A vignetted quarter-length studio portrait of Iver O. Myhre, a corporal in Company G, 15th Wisconsin Infantry. The following information was obtained from the Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20: He resided in Clinton, Wisconsin. On October 3, 1861, he enlisted in Beloit, Wisconsin and was mustered into service in Madison, Wisconsin on December 13, 1861, at the age of 28. He was severely wounded in the shoulder during a battle at New Hope Church, Georgia on May 27, 1864. He was wounded again in December 1864 and sent to a hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. He was mustered out of service on January 13, 1865, in Madison, Wisconsin. |
