Quarter-length cabinet card portrait of Thor C. Thompson, [name in the roster is Thomas C. Thompson] a sergeant in Company E, 15th Wisconsin Infantry. The following information was obtained from the Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20: He resided in Preston, Minnesota. On November 25, 1861, he enlisted in La Crosse, Wisconsin and on December 20, 1861, he was mustered into service in Madison, Wisconsin at the age of 28. He enlisted with the rank of sergeant and discharged due to disability on March 23, 1863 in Nashville, Tennessee. Based on the Civil War Pension Index, Thomas C. Thompson also used the name Thor C. Thompson and Thor Thorson Kingland. |
