Head and shoulders oval studio portrait of Andreas Johnson, a sergeant in Company A, 15th Wisconsin Infantry. The following information was obtained from the Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20: He resided in Boone County, Illinois. On October 16, 1861, he enlisted and was eventually mustered into service in Madison, Wisconsin on December 20, 1861, at the age of 20. Information on the roster states that served as a teamster on supply trains once on September 1863 and again in November 1863. He was mustered out of service with Company A on December 20, 1864 at Chattanooga, Tennessee. |
