![George Georgeson [Jorgen Jorgenson] Head and shoulders oval studio portrait of George Georgesson [as written on Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20 and published Roster of Wisconsin Volunteers, Volume 1 also written as: Jorgen Jorgenson on the card backing of portrait], a sergeant in Company A, 15th Wisconsin Infantry. The following information was obtained from the Regimental and Descriptive Rolls, Volume 20: He resided in Boone County, Illinois. On October 16, 1861, he enlisted and was mustered into service in Madison, Wisconsin on November 15, 1861. The muster rolls also state that on he served numerous times as a guard. The first mentioned in the roster states that he was detached to guard company stores at Camp Etheridge, Tennessee on June 23, 1862.
