Governmental Buildings - Anaglyph
Caption on reverse side of stereograph reads: "Governmental buildings, Wisconsin Conservatory of Music and Hospital over Lake Mendota-looking from Capitol Park." Large building on the left is the Federal Post Office and Courthouse built in 1871. The building on the far right is the R.S. Bacon Block (later Ogden's Block) built in 1856. The hospital reference is probably to "Mendota" Insane Asylum across the lake. |
