The original typewritten caption reads, "View showing operations after core box has been removed from International Molding Machine Company's core blower. The core is removed from the box, wires are inserted and the cover is replaced for the next core blowing operation. Photographic Series, Indianapolis Truck Engine Works. International Harvester Company." The International Molding Machine Company was established in 1884 when Henry E. Pridmore began designing and building the early molding machines for the McCormick Company's foundry. In 1910, the company name was chartered. The original manufacturing plant stood in Chicago until 1946 when the current 44,000 square foot building was built in LaGrange Park, Illinois. |
