Grand View Hotel

View across street toward the hotel, at 100 Jackson Street, built in 1872. It contains decorative brickwork around all street-side windows and on the pediment. The main entrance features columns supporting a porch and balcony. The Grand View is the third name of the establishment, starting off as Woods Hotel, after owner and builder Alanson Wood, and changing to Hotel Englebright. A fire destroyed the structure in 1949. |
