ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Original caption includes the following: "Before Herbert Hoover became president of the United States he was already interested in farming. Near Wasco, California, he had invested in raw cattle range and was beginning to raise peaches, grapes, potatoes, cotton and such crops under irrigation by pumping. Now he has added the Greenfield ranch of 2225 acres ten miles south east of Bakersfield, as well as other ranches near Santa Maria and Stockton. Ranches and farms as investments of high rating has been the trend the past three years, according to bankers and realtors who have watched the market. All these Hoover ranches are being equipped with International tractors and farm equipment to handle the crops produced on the various ranches. Cotton, alfalfa, and pasture is the present crops at Greenfield Ranch where Alan Hoover, son of the ex-president, resides. A pair of F-30's, two 15-30's, and a T-20 covers the tractor equipment here, and all are hitched to International plows, disks, harrows, planters and carry cultivating attachments of the same make in the case of the F-30's."
