Norton was a featured singer at the Stand Rock Ceremonial in the Wisconsin Dells from the 1920s until his retirement in 1957. He died in St. Petersburg, Florida on March 2, 1964. (Capital Times, March 7, 1964, pg. 3). In a 1935 newspaper article, he is identified as a Hoopa Indian from Northern California (Wisconsin State Journal, December 19, 1935, page 16). |
