Volunteer Soldiers and Sailors Monument at Nathan Strong Park
View of Nathan Strong Park, a recreation area set aside in 1848. The park features a Volunteer Soldiers and Sailors Monument, topped with a soldier holding a flag. The monument was erected by John H. Williams Post No. 4 C.A.R. and Woman's Relief Corps No. 12. A fountain stands in the middle of the park with a gazebo to its right. A Victorian house built in 1882 stands behind the trees in the background. |
