The store on the left is the State Street Food Store, (now Einstein Bros. Bagels). On the right is the Western Union Branch Office, (now Expresso Royale Cafe). During World War II, Leon and his wife, Beatrice, will teach typing and telegraphy to Naval students at the U.S. Naval Training School (Radio) in Madison.
