A snake with 15 segments, SC, Ca, Mi, Ala, N.C, Tex, De, Md, Va, Fla, Ark, Ten, Ke and Mo. A snake has the Confederate flag and a palm tree behind it. Bold type above reads: "UNITE OR DIE." Above that text reads: "The device of our Fathers in their first struggle for liberty, --1776." Quote below by Jefferson Davis reads: "SLAVE STATES, once more let me repeat, that the only way of preserving our slave property, or what we prize more than life, our LIBERTY, is by a UNION WITH EACH OTHER." This is one of the less numerous pro-Confederate envelopes. Black ink on cream envelope, illustration fills the top left 2/3rds.
