University of Wisconsin Military Ball
As a promotion stunt, several of the committee members, and 11 girls who were semi-finalists in the court of honor contest for the University of Wisconsin-Madison's 36th Military Ball, visited Truax Field to invite the airmen to the ball. Dinner with the airmen was one of the activities during the visit. While they were guests at the field, each of the girls was given an escort from among the Truax personnel. Betty Wetmore, left, and Lois Small, right, enjoyed their meal in the company of Pfc. Don Graves, left, and S. Sgt. Alden J. Brewer, right. |
