Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial

Elevated view of shoreline, waterfront buildings, boat-dotted bay and Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial. The pink-marble, column-shaped monument has a bronze observation platform at its summit and was built to celebrate Oliver Hazard Perry's naval victory over the British in the war of 1812. The monument rises from a plaza and is flanked by two classical style buildings. |
