Girl Scout Week Activities
On Girl Scout Sunday, Dane County scouts and their leaders begin the seven service days of Girl Scout week, celebrated nationally to honor Julliette Low, founder of the organization in 1912. Practicing the fourth law of Girl Scouting, "a Girl Scout is a friend to all and a sister to every other Girl Scout," are members of the fifth graders in Troop 95 at Nakoma school discussing international friendship. Standing is Mrs. Reuben (Margaret) Sand, 4117 Iroquois Drive, co-leader of the troop, and seated left to right, Mrs. Sand's daughter, Sarah; Margot Herriott, 833 Miami Pass; Lois Alt, Ridge Road, Mary Milan, 3812 Cherokee Drive, and Patty Hamilton, Route 3. |
