Distinguished Service Cross
The Distinguished Service Cross for heroism was given posthumously to Capt. Robert Walker, Lancaster, who was killed as the result of heroic action near Sangju, Korea on Sept. 24, 1950. Mrs. Thelma Walker, 4267 Mohawk Dr., is shown receiving the nation's second highest military honor from Col. Walter D. Tobin, senior army instructor of the Wisconsin national guard at the colonel's Truax Field headquarters. |
