A trick photograph of vaudeville clowns Forunello and Cirillino in which Fortunello holds Cirillino's decapitated head on a broom. Fortunello was the Italian gymnast Alberto Braglia (1883-1954) who won gold medals in Olympic competition in Athens in 1904, London in 1908, and Stockholm in 1912. He became a circus performer in 1918, toured widely, and returned to Italy in 1926. |
