Jethro Coffin Home Kitchen
View of the kitchen and pantry in the Jethro Coffin home. Jethro Coffin was a blacksmith and the grandson of one of the island's first white settlers, Tristam Coffin. The house was built in 1686 and remains the oldest house on Nantucket. The room features a brick fireplace with a smoker and tools, mantle with a rifle and tableware, wooden bench, table and chairs. A pantry is in the background. |
